The Shed at Fitzgerald Fruit Farms is a place for families to take a step back in time and enjoy a beautiful country landscape and find fresh peaches, strawberries, and a variety of garden produce grown on the farm. We have a pick your own strawberry patch in the spring and a pumpkin patch in the fall, as well as a year-round market.
Northeast of Dawsonville, Georgia, on the cusp of the North Georgia Mountains, sits Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge. A nature lover’s wonderland, it’s only 8 miles from the Appalachian Trail and within the Chattahoochee National Forest. The park is named after its most treasured feature, Amicalola Falls – a magnificent 729-foot waterfall that’s the third-highest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River.
Shoot The Hooch
Enjoy tubing on our gentle flowing lazy river. Tubes can be rented, weather dependent, during peak season (June, July, August) until 3 PM. Tubing during off-season (April, May, September) may be offered, depending on weather and streamflow. Noah's Ark Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit Educational Sanctuary for exotic animals as well as farm animals. They also rehab 100's of animals yearly through our Wildlife Rehabilitation Program.
Tallulah Gorge State Park
One of the most spectacular canyons in the eastern U.S., Tallulah Gorge is two miles long and nearly 1,000 feet deep. Visitors can hike rim trails to several overlooks, or they can obtain a permit to hike to the gorge floor (100 per day, not available during water releases). A suspension bridge sways 80 feet above the rocky bottom, providing spectacular views of the river and waterfalls.
